"The Dervishes of Cairo” which
specialized in presenting the
Egyptian form of Sufi dance and
traditional music, and it considered
one of the most successful artistic
achievements of EL Nour Company
for art Production and Distribution.
On March 2001, the company
gathered a group of these dancers
to present their peculiar art form
on the stage. Most of the dancers
and singers of the group have
learned this art from their fathers
and grandfathers. The troupe
started with 15 members but now it
has more than 40 between dancers,
musicians and singers, so now it is
considered one of the biggest
troupe, which perform this kind of
art all over the world. The troupe
has been participating and awarded
in many national and internationals
festivals inside and outside the
country.
